Do you need a break from traditional run-of-the-mill tourist attractions? If you want to explore a site that is so unique and divine in itself, then you should add this name to your bucket list. The Ischigualasto Provincial Park or the “Valley of the Moon” is like no other park you have seen before.
The park has received its name because of its moon-like desert landscape. There are different shapes and layers of mineral and sediments here that assist one to look back into the planet’s past. There are exemplary rock formations in sections called the “Bowling Field” and the “Painted Valley.” More so, in the museum, there are on exhibit dinosaur fossils from the Triassic Period. It is no surprise that locals and tourists alike flock here in large numbers. This is an extremely well-known and unique park indeed.
