The Mayan World Museum of Mérida is a modern and cutting-edge structure that is home to a Mayan culture museum. The Mayan World Museum of Mérida shares works of art, handicrafts, and important historical artefacts. The Mayan World Museum of Mérida is a work of art in and of itself: the main building is built as a nod to the ceiba tree, a tree that was considered sacred to Mayan culture. The museum is built on 2 hectares and has three levels which represent the three world of Maya - the sky, earth and underworld. The mission of the museum is to educate people about the Mayan culture and also promote it on a global level.
