Cronus, son of Uranus had castrated his father's genitals and thrown them off the coast Cythera. It is believed that Aphrodite was born out of the aphrós created by Uranus's genitals. The white rock stands on a frothing, turquoise sea. If you swim three times in the waters around the rock you will be blessed with eternal youth and beauty but let us warn you that the waves are rough. Maybe, they keep singing hymns celebrating her beauty and youth. Climb the cliffs to see the golden orb descend into the sea, enjoy a family picnic with fried calamari or sea bass. Or do nothing but just soaking up the sun? Aphrodite won't mind. Because you would have captured her birthplace in photos to cherish and treasure for a long time to come.
