About Van Nelle Fabriek

Striking a perfect balance with the traditional and modern, the Netherlands is an impressive country for sure. It’s not only well-known for its artistic legacies but also its development in modern industrial architecture. Built between 1927 and 1930, the Van Nelle Fabriek was the first daylight factory of its time in Europe. This industrial monument was a symbol of the contemporary manufacturing plant in the Netherlands. It was meant to energize the workers and the workplace. Right from its concrete construction, its glass and steel exterior, and its work floor illuminated by natural sunlight, the Van Nelle Fabriek was a beautiful example of modern Dutch architecture. In 2002, the building was upgraded into a sustainable structure. After two years, this flagship structure was placed on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites. The former tobacco manufacturing plant is now a beautiful venue that can be booked for conferences, events, and presentations. Be sure to book a guided tour for this extraordinary building.
