About KLCC Park

Often, a walk amidst nature is the cure to a heavy heart or a stressful day what if it included being surrounded by more than 1,900 indigenous trees from 74 species on your walk, that is exactly what is offered when you visit the KLCC park stretching for 50-acres. The KLCC Park was designed by Roberto Burle Marx to bring the freshness of nature and greenery to the Petronas Twin Towers and the surrounding areas. It also features a 10,000 sqm wide lake called Lake Symphony and It is almost impossible to miss this huge manmade lake in this park. Another striking feature is the 43-meter long bridge that cuts across the lake and is a wonderful spot for clicking pictures. Last but not least, the 42-meter-high water shooting fountains of the park, a great place for the kids to go to and the hourly shows in the evening are always crowd pleasers  Apart from the lake, this huge park comprises a jogging track, a children’s playground, patterned footpaths, shelters, sculptures, and benches. Also, there is a public swimming pool for children on the western stretch of the KLCC Park. Lose yourself in the many fountains, reflecting pools, and waterfalls that are strewn across the park.

How to reach

It is 4km away from the city center.

The easiest way to go to KLCC / Petronas Twin Towers from KL Sentral is by using the Rapid KL LRT Train (Kelana Jaya Line). This is the metro or subway train-service for Kuala Lumpur. From KL Sentral, go to the Rapid KL LRT Platform to board the LRT train to the Gombak direction (not Kelana Jaya direction).

Tips

  • If you explore the whole garden you might find a few places where you can get a nice picture with towers. And the path has been stamped as a "Good Photo Spot" by Malaysia tourism.
  • Go before around 8-10pm, you will see the dancing fountain-like in Singapore. Or use the free golf car tour, they will bring you a tour around the park itself.
  • Don't go in the afternoon, cause its ridiculously hot.
  • Check out the convention center for some cheap Chinese wantan noodles (RM10).
  • If you don’t have wifi, standby Louis Vuitton or Dior and they have free wifi in the house. 
  • Use it to take Grab Taxi as taxi drivers in KL overcharge and do they rarely use the meter.
  • Slow down and enjoy the views! Protect yourself from the heat ( if visiting during the day) by using a hat and sunscreen. Drink plenty of water.
