About Groninger Museum

Even if you try, you can’t miss spotting the Groninger Museum across the Central Station. Visitors are welcomed with the sight of the unique design by Mendini, the famous Italian architect. Make sure you put this museum’s name on your bucket list even if it is to see the design of its building alone. Once you’re here, you won’t be able to resist going inside to glimpse at the beautiful works of various artists.

There are various items on display, some of them have a permanent place, while others are temporary. A permanent place has been given to the collection of Japanese and Chinese porcelain, as well as the gorgeous paintings by the local group of artists called De Ploeg. Opened in 1874, the Groninger Museum showcases contemporary and modern works by all artists – local, national or international. This art museum is located in the city of Groningen in the Netherlands. New designs, shapes, materials, and bold colors all entwined in one is the essence of the Groninger Museum. They display their art in a playful and colorful manner.
