Allow yourself to take a deep dive into the display of collections at the Kröller-Müller Museum. It is an extremely popular tourist destination in the Netherlands.
In 1938, the Kröller-Müller Museum was founded by art collector Helene Kröller-Müller. Situated in the Hoge Veluwe National Park, Otterlo, it is a national art museum and sculpture garden. This spectacular museum is said to have the second-largest collection of Van Gogh’s works. Roughly, about 180 drawings and 90 paintings of the celebrated master. Apart from this, the museum boasts of a collection of work by numerous other masters. Some of these include Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Piet Mondriaan, and Georges Seurat. It has one of the biggest sculpture gardens in Europe. You can enjoy the wonderful combination of nature and sculptures, as you walk through the garden admiring it all. There are over 160 sculptures situated across the garden. They include the work of various artists namely Pierre Huyghe, Aristide Maillol, and Marta Pan, among others. The iconic pavilions by Gerrit Rietveld and Aldo van Eyck were given permanent place in the garden and can be admired even today.
Reach the train stations Apeldoorn or Ede-Wageningen, as the buses leaving from there stops near the entrance of the park.
Take the 108 bus lines from Apeldoorn and stop to Hoenderloo, change to bus 106 which will take you to the middle of the Park near the Visitor Centre.
One way taxi will charge around 21 EUR from the city center.
Be aware of the Bus 106 bus schedule as it only runs hourly.
