The distance from Seoul City Hall, the city center to the market is 6.5 km and can be reached by subway in 5 minutes and by taxi and Uber in 8 minutes. Take the Subway to Noryangjin Station (Lines 1 and 9). From Exit 1, you have to walk about 100 meters over the train tracks via the footbridge, following the English signage. Going down the stairs will get you to the trading floor of the market.

The subway fare will range from 1350 to 1500 KRW. The taxi fare will be about 10, 600 KRW.

• Wear closed shoes or boots to avoid contact with puddles of fishy water.
• Take your camera along to click some very weird but wonderful sea creatures.
• If you are buying pricey crabs or lobsters be sure to bargain but just a little bit.
• Some vendors give freebies like a few extra oysters.
• You have the option of getting what you bought prepared in the restaurants on the other floors.
• Service charges of the restaurants are separate from purchase prices.
• Try some sashimi or live octopus chopped up and served with various dipping sauces. Be bold.
• Ask for bokkeumbap, tasty fried rice, which is served in the crab’s shell. This goes best with boiled crab.
• Try maeuntang as a starter to your fish meal. This spicy dish cooked with fish bones has a delightful flavor.
• A shot of Soju or a Korean cocktail along with the meal might give you the perfect feeling of bliss.
