About Pyramid of Djoser

Often known as the Step Pyramid of Egypt, the pyramid of Djoser was dedicated to the first king of the Third Dynasty of Egypt- Djoser. This is one of the first tombs to be built in the pyramid style and this is a monumental moment in architectural history. Built-in a stepped style, the pyramid is 204 feet high and from a viewing distance, it almost looks like it is a staircase built for a soul to ascend to heaven. Other than the pyramid, the complex also has various other temples and halls.  When visiting this space, marvel at it and revel in the fact that you are witness 4700 years of history that the monument has seen. Since there has been a fair amount of wear and tear, the Egyptian Council of Antiquities is making constant efforts to conserve the site.
