A leading science exhibit in Singapore, the Science Centre is an open adventure for all those who visit. It welcomes over a million visitors a year, and researchers as well. Chief attraction of this place is a world-class observatory. Its main telescope has a focal length of 520 cm and turns in all directions. This allows for you to see many celestial bodies in the sky. The centre has also an observatory which runs organised star-gazing sessions for different groups often. Other than this, there are 14 galleries that bring together over a thousand interact exhibits. You can try an engine that generates electricity with the heat generated from your hand. There is also a Fire Tornado recreation. Alongside this, there is an Omni Theatre - the only IMAX dome in Singapore that is nearly 5 stories tall and allows you to become one with the filmd being screened there. The other big draw for people here is the Snow City - the only full-time snow centre in the country. Not only can you enjoy a slide on the snow, you can also watch coordinated performances such as a Snow Show. This centre is a great source of joy for all ages, young or old, and you can easily spend your day here being enthralled by the miracles of science.
