Shopaholics unite! The 12 acres of the Asiatique: The Riverfront in Bangkok awaits. It is an open-air night market on the former docks of the East Asiatic Company on Chao Phraya River.
There are 1,500 shops and kiosks slit into four sections or districts. Factory District has fashion. Town Square District has restaurants, bars, and event space. When you’re all shopped out and have had a bite to eat, head to Chareonkrung District for puppet shows and Cabaret performances. Rest your feet and then pick up handmade wares and souvenirs there. Waterfront District has restaurants, concerts, and all of the festivals you could want. Go for a spin on the Asiatique Sky, the 200-foot Ferris wheel.
The “mall” is found in a group of old warehouse buildings, but there are also other historical buildings with an old sawmill and a bomb shelter. Get a look at the tram and the bronze maritime statues. All of this on Bangkok’s longest waterfront promenade.

By bus:
Take a bus from Phukhaothong to Watprayakai Police Station. It is a journey of 11.2 km that is covered in 35 minutes and costs 10 to 35 THB.
By ferry:
Take a ferry from Rajchawongse to Wat Rajsingkorn Asiatique. It is a journey of 4.3 km that is covered in 13 minutes and costs 14 to 35 THB, followed by a 5-minute walk to Asiatique Riverfront.
By taxi:
Take a taxi to Asiatique Riverfront. The journey is of approximately 8 km and can be covered in 8 minutes from the city centre and can cost 95 to 120 TBH.
