About Schloss Linderhof

Schloss Linderhof, or Linderhof Palace, is located in the Barvarian Alps and built by King Ludwig II. Although small by comparison, King Ludwig used Versailles as inspiration for Schloss Linderhof. While King Ludwig started construction on may palaces and royal lodgings, Schloss Linderhof was the only one completed in his lifetime. Linderhof Palace is an easy day-trip from Munich.
