About Singapore Botanic Gardens

These iconic gardens are Singapore's first UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the only tropical garden on the entire list of World Heritage Site in the world. The gardens are a little over a hundred and fifty years old and have been providing an enchanting experience to the visitors ever since. The Garden is divided into four core sections - Tanglin Sections, Bukit Timah, and Tyersall- Gallop. The central core is where most of the tourists can be found, while the Bukit Timah is the educational center. The Tyersall Gallop is relatively new and focuses on the new growing habitat. The different attractions in the garden include the National Orchid Garden, the Burkill Hall, the VIP Orchid Garden, the Living Forest, the Tan Hoon Siang Malthouse and the Ginger Garden. There are also three lakes in the campus, out of which the Symphony Lake often also houses free musical performances. There is also a restaurant on site that offers fresh, great food, using some of the produce grown in the garden itself. Travel to the spot to escape the hustle of the city and to catch a few moments watching the marvels of the flora and fauna of Asia.
