Opened in 1192, this particular monastery located in the Staraya city was founded by Martiry Rushanin. It was destroyed and rebuilt numerous times throughout its history, in which alterations and developments to the structure were made. Nevertheless, its main features from the exterior and interior walls were kept in an attempt to preserve its authentic nature. With dark-colored domes and white walls, the monastery runs along the river and comes across as an impressive edifice that will awe visitors.
