About Słowiński National Park

Słowiński National Park is a bit of the unexpected in Poland. The area used to be a bay off the Baltic Sea, but the park now consists of forest and sand dunes along the coastline.

The tallest sand dune is 377 feet high. The Baltic Sea waves and wind slowly “move” the up to 30 feet per year.  It’s a small natural phenomenon. Pine forests surround lakes and rivers that makeSłowiński National Park the perfect place to go for a hike. There are 87 miles of trails! Pack a backpack for a picnic at one of the observation lookouts beside a lake, or set up lunch on one of the benches.

Take one of the trails to Czołpino Lighthouse or visit the open-air Muzeum Wsi Słowińskiej and National History Museum. Go for a day, or stay overnight. There are hotels and campsites available to make yours a pleasurable visit.
