About Egeskov Castle

Welcome to Europe's best-kept moat castle from the Renaissance period. The castle is nearly 460 years old and was named after the Egeskov estate in which is it located. The castle on its own lends itself to lazy wanderings, and along with this, there is a multitude of exhibitions on-site as well. One of the more famous ones is an exhibition of rare and vintage cars and mopeds. Some of these are still in perfect working condition. The castle garden has also won awards for its beauty. Thanks to its picturesque water setting, the castle provides limitless photography options.  This is still a family home, and you might just get the chance to speak to the Count who lives here. During the winter, the castle also puts up a rather famous Christmas market.  The outdoor playground also always has activities ongoing for the children to participate in, and for the adults, there are a few food kiosks as well as a good Italian restaurant on site.
