About Tiergarten Schonbrunn

No adventure is complete without a visit to the zoo of the city, and when that zoo is the oldest zoo in the world, there is no missing it. It started out as the royal menagerie, and is now open to public. Due to its imperial roots, the building is constructed in the Baroque style and you will be surprised that the animals live in architectural marvels- a feat that few people can have a claim to. The site also works relentlessly for species protection and research, and houses giant pandas as a specialty. You can also walkthrough an Amazonian rainforest and river flood simulation, if it tickles your fancy. There is a panorama train as well, and you can choose to stay and see the animal interaction during feeding hours as well. When in Vienna, definitely take the time to see this zoo and enjoy its many different sections and attractions at length.
