About Baths of Caracalla

These famed Baths or thermae were considered one of the Seven Wonders of Rome, functioning for free for the public for close to 300 years. Used not just for bathing, these baths offered dedicated facilities for walks, reading and general exercise. Being Rome's second largest public baths, it covers a whopping 62 acres, its sheer architectural beauty overwhelming that of the Baths of Diocletian, the largest public baths in Imperial Rome.
