About The Twelve-Angled Stone

The Twelve-Angled Stone is unique in itself. The perfect cut stone is a part of a wall known as Hatunrumiyoc. It is surprising to see how the Twelve-Angled Stone has been united with the others in the wall to form a unit. The Twelve-Angled Stone is located not far from Plaza de Armas. The stone has been cut at 12 points, in such a way to show the stability to the structure. There are other stones which were cut at five, six, and seven points that highlight the area to be an earthquake-free zone.

Tips

  • It is advised not to touch the stone. As Quechuas say, all such stones have power and can give you a shake if you lay your palms on it.
