The Taj museum was initially erected at the west side of the main entrance, during 1906, to display the stones, old photographs, some drawings, old government orders all related to the construction of the Taj Mahal. The museum has seen massive aggrandize since then and exhibits far more variety depicting the amazing past of the Mughal culture and tradition. The building is double storeyed with a quadrangle projection with a total of three galleries dedicated to calligraphic art, paintings of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, and drawings and paintings related to the divine mausoleum, the Taj Mahal.
The visitors can use public transport such as bus, rickshaws and taxi. It is 5.2 km from the city center.
